Flax Farm Cold-Pressed Linseed (Flax Seed Oil)
Our Linseed oil (flax seed) is simply the oil cold-pressed from whole linseeds. It is, like all vegetable oils virtually 100 % fat. (Any fats or oils have to be called “Fat” on labels). The important thing is that linseed is a very rich natural source of omega-3 – with a huge 8.2g in every tablespoon – which is the essential fat (fatty acid) which is the good healthy and anti-inflammatory fat that we are told we need to eat more of. Flax Farm cold-pressed linseed oil is completely Cholesterol-free.

There are only a small amount of other types of fats naturally occurring in Linseed Oil but if your diet needs more quality omega-6 this is a useful addition. Because our linseed oil is cold-pressed and unrefined the other things it contains are other naturally occurring plant substances, such as vitamin E, phospholipids and other lecithin-type compounds which help make the oil taste less oily and are thought to make the oil more digestible – and they make vinaigrette made from our linseed oil mix better.
