Being finely ground and a combination of soluble and insoluble fibre our Linseed Meals helps your gut grow lots of good bacteria. This is soothing, protecting and bulk-forming and gets the digestion working the way nature intended. It helps reducing bloating, controlling yeast, improving slow transits, calming irritable bowel and colitis.
Detox
Linseed meal is often used as a detox because it replaces toxin-producing bacteria with good bacteria. Eating linseed daily provides a daily detox. For a quick fix whole linseeds can help with constipation but for getting the gut to work normally the ground meal is a better option.
Ladies of certain age...
(Speaking from personal experience we think this means ladies of all ages!) Linseed’s reputation comes from the husk of the seed being nature’s richest source of lignans which are mild phytoestrogens that balance hormones during menopause and after the menopause, and even helps calm and sooth the symptoms of the monthly cycle.
- Natural HRT Alternative
- Helps reduce hot flushes, night sweats, cramps, mood swings, dry skin, vaginal dryness, etc.
- Strengthens bones and helps prevent oesteoporosis
- Helps protect heart
- Helps keep skin looking young and beautiful
Linseed/aka Flaxseed is regularly recommended by doctors and nutritionists as an alternative to HRT to help relieve symptoms of the menopause; the normal way to use it is to add 2-4 heaped tablespoons/25-50g/1-2 ounces of ground linseed to food daily. Linseed Meal is absolutely delicious in porridge, muesli, yoghurt, smoothies and baking.
Powerful Antioxidant
Lignans are 800 times more antioxidant than vitamin E and help protect the colon.
