Healthy Eating Recipes
All our recipes can be sugar-free and use minimal or no added fat - or use linseed oil with is a good fat as it can be used to replace "naughty" fats and adds lots of omega-3 which helps the body metabolise other fats correctly.
Dairy-free Recipes
Many of our recipes are dairy-free and Linseed is a tasty rich and cholesterol-free healthy way to replace dairy in foods and it adds a smoothness and creaminess to repace butter or cream in recipes.
Gluten-free; Wheat-free Recipes
Linseed is unrelated to wheat and that family of cereals and completely gluten-free. Linseed meal is useful for making quick gluten-free breakfast, breads and crackers, and for improving the flavour and nutritional quality of other gluten-free foods. It can be used in coeliac and wheat-free diets.
Linseed in Diabetic Recipes
Linseed has a sweet taste but is completely sugar-free and starch-free so it won't upset your blood sugar levels. Flax Farm freshly ground linseed (flax seed) meal is a very low GI/low glycemic load food and as an ingredient makes foods lower GI. Linseed oil can be a benefcial fat for people controlling diabetes through diet.
Nut-free
Linseed has a lovely nutty flavour but it is not a nut and not in any way related to sesame or peanuts either. We are very careful to ensure no nuts are used in any of Flax Farm's production or kitchen areas area, but some of the ingredients we use in our flaxjacks and muesli may have been produced in the same evironment where nuts were handled.Most of our recipes have been designed tp be suitable for people with diabetes.
Linseed and Flax in Pregnancy
Flax Farm Linseed cold-pressed linseed oil is a good source of omega-3 that is totally free of the pollutants associated with fish oils so is excellent during pregancy and breast-feeding and can be used freely. Linseed meal can be useful for the digestion during pregnancy but is recomended to be used only about 3 or 4 times a week.
Raw Food Diet Recipes
All Flax Farm Linseed (Flax) products are absolutely RAW, all are produced without heat, in fact it is the very low temperatures and gentle production methods which make them taste so great. Flavour is even more important in raw cookery and it also means our linseed is better for you. 
Recipes for Healthy Food for Children
Flax Farm Cold-Pressed Linseed (Flaxseed) Oil is a very child-firendly source of omega-3. It is fresh, natural, unpolluted, sustainable and tastes great - it can be easily "hidden" in the food of even the fussiest eater but most children prefer it to olive oil and really enjoy it's mildness, Adding our freshly ground Linseed to your childs diet is an excellent way of keeping your childs digestion healthy, kids also love our flaxjacks and they make an delicious and health addition to any lunchbox. Lots of our recipes are so simple that kids can make them unsupervised.
Linseed can help as part of a weight-loss diet in several ways, firstly the omega-3 in the oil helps boost the metabolism which burns off spare calories and the linseed meal is very low GI, slow-release, sustaining and helps "switch off the hungry button" for longer. Most of our recipes are low sugar, low fat, low GI, Low carb so really help with losing weight.
Vegan
Linseed (flax) oil is vegan source of omega-3 and most of our recpes are vegan or designed to be adapted for vegans.
Vegetarian
Linseed (flax) is completely vegetarain diets and a source of omega-3 - and I don't think any of our recipes aren't vegan.
Budwig Protocol
Linseed oil with quark or cottage cheese or yoghurt and freshly ground linseeds are the key foods in the Budwig diet; they don't have to be used together which means lots of variety.
