There is an increasing understanding about the importance of eating raw foods; they have a vitality that is lost when foods are cooked. Raw Food can be a way of life, a healthy addition for a busy lifestyle, a pick-me-up, a detox or if you need a general exclusion diet and raw foods are good place to start for extra health and vitality.  

Cooking destroys the enzymes and damages protein and vitamins; our early ancestors all ate entirely raw food and, in evolutionary terms, cooking is a relatively recent invention for humans. Raw food is all about eating food as raw as nature intended and getting the benefit of all the nutrients in food, it also means making sure we get a good balance of nutrients and it should be delicious.
 Raw food has been part of the diet of many who have reversed many serious health conditions including diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol and obesity – and helps keep you young, fit and beautiful!

Consciously eating “Raw” isn’t a totally modern phenomenon but it is a sensible reaction to the over-processed foods that make up so much of our diets. Some people go “totally raw” but even adding a raw component to every meal or a completely raw meal every day is an excellent way to increase the quality of your food and once you start to feel the benefit you may well want to eat more raw.

Flax is a great staple for raw eating. It can be used like eggs to bind food, flax is filling, it's almost cereal-like but nicer and better for you. Cold-pressed Flax seed oil and meal are brilliant sources of omega-3 and proetein. Raw Flax crackers are just amazingly delcious.
