Flax Farm Courgette & Apple Cake Flaxjacks are very fruity, moist and gooey like a rich dark fruit cake. Instead of sugar we sweeten them with courgettes, fruit, and a tad of xylitol (a naturally occurring sweetener) extracted from the sap of Swedish birch trees.
These flapjacks are butter-free, dairy-free, coconut oil-free, saturated fat free, gluten free and vegan with no wheat – and low in sugars/no added sugar. We use no saturated fats, no vegetable oil, shortening, margarine, butter or coconut oil; instead we just use our lovely fresh cold-pressed linseed (flaxseed) oil which is highly unsaturated with omega-3.
Each slice contains the equivalent of more than 2 teaspoons linseed (flax) oil and of course the benefits of our freshly ground linseed.
