Gluten-free Linseed (Flax) Crackers

Ingredients
  

  • 2 garlic cloves mashed
  • 100 g Flax Farm ground linseed
  • A little water
  • Marmite or miso paste
  • Whole, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and/or linseeds

Instructions
 

  • Place mashed garlic and ground linseed in a bowl.
    Flax Farm Ground linseed is a naturally gluten-free food
  • Add enough water to make a thick dough.
  • Place dough between 2 sheets of silicon paper and roll out until it is very thin, 1-3mm.
  • Remove top layer of paper and place in fan oven at 150 centigrade, cook until leathery.
  • After about 10 minutes, when just beginning to go leathery turn over, remove the other sheet of paper and wipe thinly with Marmite and sprinkle with whole seeds.
  • After another ten minutes when the second side is going leathery, before it browns reduce oven temperature to just over 100 centigrade and cook until the crackers dry our and go crispy. Do not brown.

Notes

The quantities in the recipe aren't exact and don't seem to matter; all it is as I was told itĀ is: 2 cloves garlic mashed. add ground linseed and mix with water to a thick paste. Then roll out between sheets of silicon paper until thin remove top sheet. Bake in medium hot oven until leathery, turn over, remove second sheet, bake until leathery. reduced temperature to minimumĀ temperature for another ten minutes or so until dry and crisp.
