Simple sticky 2 ingredient molasses flax bars

Ingredients
  

  • 295 g Organic blackstrap molasses black treacle is ok too
  • 305 g Flax Farm ground linseed Bronze or gold
  • 135 g Boiling water

Instructions
 

  • Heat molasses until just starting to bubble but don't overheat.
  • Add boiling water, stir, then add the ground linseed. Mix thoroughly.
  • Place mixture in a 14 x 9 inch baking tray lined with baking parchment/silicon paper and level out until smooth.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 160C, take care not to overcook.
  • Remove from oven, allow to cool and cut into 14 slices.

Notes

Honey or malt extract can be substituted for the molasses.
