Hummus with Flaxseed (Linseed) Oil
Simple, versatile recipe for hummus, easily adapted for your own tatse
- 1 can Chickpeas drained
- 3-5 Tbs Flax Farm Cold-Pressed Flaxseed (Linseed) Oil
- Juice of approx. 1/2 lemon
- 1 Clove garlic or more or less to your taste
- 1-3 Tbs Tahini Optional
- Salt & Pepper
- Handful chopped coriander herb or more to taste Optional
- Pinch ground cumin, ground coriander or turmeric to taste Optional
- A little water
Place oil, flaxseed old, garlic, lemon, tahini and chickpeas in a food processor and whizz until smooth. Add a little more oil or water until a nice consistency then add herbs, spices and seasoning, taste as you go. Turn into a serving bowl, drizzle more flaxseed oil for extra creaminess and enjoy.
