Carrot Cake Flaxjacks, Luxury Sugar-free, Flapjacks to Bake@Home
These healthy non-added sugar cakes are a hybrid of flapjack and fruitcake. They are butter-free, dairy-free, coconut oil-free, saturated fat-free, gluten-free, wheat-free and vegan. They have no added sugar, instead of sugar, we sweeten them with fruit, and a tad of erythritol. We use no saturated fats, no vegetable oil, shortening, margarine, butter, or coconut oil; instead, we just use our lovely fresh cold-pressed linseed (flaxseed) oil which is highly unsaturated with omega-3.
Each slice contains the equivalent of a whole teaspoon linseed (flax) oil and of course the benefits of our freshly ground linseed.
Remove packaging, Place in a preheated oven at 150C for 20-30 minutes. We think it is perfectly cooked when the Flaxjack has a slight skin when gently touched with the fingers. For a slightly softer Flaxjack bale for less time or for a harder Flaxjack, bake for the full 30 minutes or more. The exact timing depends on the way your own oven distributes heat.
