Welcome to our latest Flax Farm update, where we share news and ideas for using flax to support your health.

Autumn is rapidly turning cooler and wintery.  We have some great suggestions to lift your spirits with warming foods that boost metabolism, help burn off spare calories, support weight control, keep you cosy and protect your skin from the changing weather.

A Fun Flax Fact

In the 1964 Miss Marple film Murder Most Foul, the marvellous Margaret Rutherford is advised for rheumatism:

“Try rubbing linseed oil and vinegar into it – makes a new woman of me!”

Entertaining and there’s plenty of truth in it!  Modern research has shown that flaxseed oil’s anti-inflammatory properties can measurably help make creaking joints more supple when applied topically.
